About Me

My name is Dr. Antrice Hronek. I am a Jamaican woman born in America and raised by Jamaican parents in New York. I have a B.A. in Psychology from Columbia University, and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. In 2018, I completed my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Currently I live and work in Las Vegas, Nevada as a Licensed Psychologist. I have two children. In my career I’ve had the opportunity to counsel survivors of domestic violence, work with individuals affected by substance use and comorbid disorders, and work with the severely mentally ill population. I currently provide assessments and consultation for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I began blogging at the end of 2022 as a hobby. It’s also a way to share interventions that hopefully make life easier.

Get Busy Wellness is a blog that is inspired by the song “Get Busy” by Sean Paul from the album Dutty Rock released in 2002. When this song came out I was in high school, and this was (and still is) a song that got me hyped! Musically I find the riddim is eerily intoxicating. But if you pay attention to the lyrics, it’s clearly celebrating women, their strength, their skills, and their power to take charge and run tings.
